Hackensack's Finest

lyrics

I learned a lot about life this year.
I learned that some people will never change.
I know now who my real friends are.
And I wish that you could say the same.

I've scrawled the worst parts of being alone on this empty bus,
and I can't help but to regret those summer nights.
"What happened to us?"

And I can't help but think that it's way too cold for Spring.
And these grey April skies aren't very promising.

Do you remember what it's like to feel happy?
I spend most nights hiding behind these stupid lines.
Just promise you won't forget me.

You won't find much pity in your selfish friends,
or that cigarette lit with shaking hands.
Just don't forget who I am.
